Made-to-Order: What We Can Say
A note on production after purchase, care and the limits of environmental claims.
By The Atelier · Updated

Our made-to-order model begins with a purchase. It describes when a piece enters production. On its own, it does not establish the environmental impact of a garment.
What the model tells you
Designed in Hoboken, New Jersey; made to order in London. Dispatched in 5 calendar days. A made-to-order piece is produced for an order. Its materials, manufacturing, packaging and transport each need their own evidence before broader environmental claims can be made.
Choosing with care
Check the composition and care information for the specific piece. Consider how it will fit into your wardrobe, where you will store it and whether its care requirements suit you. These are practical questions to resolve before ordering.
Looking after a piece
Follow its care label. If it develops a fault or needs attention, contact the atelier with the product name and photographs so the issue can be reviewed. Any available remedy or service must be confirmed for the piece.
